Dear Ina,
Classic Catch-22: This month you have to be activated on eBay Managed Payments to get free listings. I have 11,000 listings, but I only get 1,000 free fixed price as a Premium Store subscriber, and I am missing out on the 50,000 free fixed price.

I got a hold of managed payments and they have a ticket into their IT department to fix whatever is wrong that is not getting me activated. It will take 24-48 hours for that to happen. Then I do not know when I will actually be activated.

No one wants to give me free listings, and eBay will not give me a free Anchor Store, so I am going to continue pulling listings. Business is too shaky at the moment to commit to an Anchor Store, in my opinion, and I would rather run less listings.

Why would you think Ebay should give you an Anchor store for free? If they give you one for free, will they do that for everyone else?

James, if you aren't in managed payments, consider yourself lucky. I was forced in last September. I did get an increase in my monthly listings included in my store (1,000 to 10,000 with my premium subscription). I have no use for more than 1,000, so I downgraded to basic. That's a savings of $38 a month, which, don't get me wrong, I am happy about. But, if I could pay that extra $38 and be back with PayPal, I would do it in a heartbeat!

So you are not activated in MP in order to get the free listings, and that is eBay's fault??? I guess you didn't see MP coming during the past two YEARS. And FREE anchor stores - yeah, they give those out like candy at Halloween.

At this level of incompetence, it would serve to IMPROVE the eBay marketplace if you pulled ALL your listings.

I hate to tell everyone this but eBay does give out FREE Anchor Stores when there is a need. They gave me one for 3 months last year. I would have preferred they allocate me 10K in FREE listings instead but they would not do that.

The point is there is no reason for me to not be activated on eBay and the problem is within ebay and a ticket has been generated to fix the problem.

This wasn't a problem till now and unfortunately ebay hasn't stepped up to the plate to help tied me over till the fix the problem.
