Tool - we will love anyone who builds instead of tares down, we we love anyone who is fair, honest and good. We will embrace anyone who doesnt think sellers are the excrement left on the side walk.

Etsy's playbook was stolen from Ebay. Hopefully Silverman will be out soon too. I'm so tired of receiving Etsy ''Free Shipping'' marketing emails. Silverman is replicating Wenig's mistakes of putting Ebay on the low-cost curve to the bottom that has obviously bottomed out. Wonder what kind of enticements Ebay will offer to get sellers back, or to find new dreamers with deep pockets.

I won't miss him at all. Fact is, I transitioned away from eBay in June of 2018 tired of jumping through the hoops and dealing with the absurd algorithms CSRs consistently blamed all the mistakes on. Seller protection my butt. eBay's been dying a slow death and despite the "we're doing better" stories posted, it's clear the profits have gone down. They keep taking more and more and provide less and less to Sellers.

Caution, people.  While I'm CERTAINLY glad he is gone, remember, the EBAY CORPORATE SYSTEM is the one who hired him.  If the selection process is the same for the next CEO, the results could be (shiver!)...the same or worse.  Let's hope SOMEBODY is thinking differently about the future of eBay.

Meg Whitman was a nice person.  I remember one Ebay Live I went to when Ebay had just made the change to have neutral feedback counted as negative in the totals.  We all went crazy when she spoke and she was just about in tears.  It was one of the only changes Ebay ever reversed!!  Most likely because it didn't really affect that much monetarily other than some people no longer qualifying for top rated which, at that time I think was 20%.  

Hopefully the new guy is a little more customer oriented -- the sellers -- not the buyers who are not their first line customers.   Without us sellers there would be nothing to buy.

Once Elliot Mgt stepped in, who didn't see this coming?  And also, there have been some highly critical processes and policies that sellers have been very critical about.  The youtube influencers have criticized the promoted listings and sellers are opting out of the promoted listings.  All the investors and Board of Directors have to do is go into the forums across the internet and on Youtube to see how unhappy sellers are......and buyers.
The site is so convoluted designed, it takes almost half a day just to list stuff.  Whereas that's not the case with AMZ, Posh, Mercari, and so many other sites.  You spend half your days listing and relisting and watching you account like a hawk to be sure there are no extra fees.  It's beyond ridiculous....I haven't been on Ebay since May 2018....good riddance.
