Dear Ina,
I have an update to the blog about unblocked bidder. (“Should eBay Be Allowed to Override Blocked Buyer Lists?“)

I have a buyer that I put on my blocked list and I got another message from him. I checked by settings and he is still on the blocked list and contacting me even though I checked off the do not contact for blocked bidders.

My only option was to close the auction. This threw him in a tantrum and he is sending more messages. I can’t report him because he has not done anything wrong.

The blocked bidder list is not working for me.

Dear Ina,
I recently noticed that sometimes eBay is assigning their own uniquely-generated order numbers to purchases, presumably now as Merchant of Record. The Checkout message looks like this:

Thanks!
Your order was placed.
Estimated delivery: Sep 28 – Oct 5
Your order number is (15-digit number redacted). We’ll send you an email confirmation soon.

A sign of things to come….

Dear Ina,
It’s funny how owner senses work to protect us. When my Item sold on eBay, I received an email from what I thought was the buyer – however, their email sounded like I had just purchased the item from them. When I read that I just knew there was a scam afoot.

Their user name is: (redacted).

Last year I was selling artwork on eBay, so I did a lot of research on the pieces. One day I typed the artists name on Google search and pictures of my paintings that I had for sale on eBay popped up. when I hit the picture I fully expected it to link with my eBay but was surprised by what happened next, my artwork for sale on another site. Not my eBay site!!

I tried everything to extract information on them but all I was able to find out was that they were somehow partners?? with eBay?? What the FFFF eBay!! Are they actually selling my merchandise and profiting from my hard work?? They are not my brokers! I did not hire them to sell my merchandise. Are they dummy selling our products and a buyer buys it from them then they don’t receive the merchandises then when they do a search to find out where their stuff is it links to me. Not this façade, rip off, flim flam (“”Partner ~O~ eBay’s””).

Is eBay looking for a class action suit?? I’m sick and tired of being taking advantage of and feeling like there is NOTHING I can do about it.

Where is our Clarence Darrow?????????? The exact same thing happened to me that happened to: (user name redacted). How many other people has this happened to and they just gave up after hours and hours of searching to find a scrap of information on what is a scam and a Fraud. How long has this been going on??

I will tell you, too long and nothing, absolutely nothing has been done about it. NOTHING!! There is strength in numbers. Please forward your complaints to the US attorney general. Make yourself heard. and God forbid, stop selling on eBay if you have to. Remember this IS eBay’s doing!!!

  1. Hi Ina.
I posted this under the USPS rate increase blog, but thought I’d put it here also.
I use the padded envelope and the small flat-rate box a lot.
Both of these will fit into a regular flat-rate envelope to save on shipping cost, (about 90% of the time with the padded envelope, and 99% of the time with a; slightly bulging, over stuffed, small flat-rate box).

    1. Really? You misuse priority mail supplies and come here to brag about it? Maybe if you quit stealing supplies our rates wouldn’t increase as much!
