Stamps.com Reassures Customers about USPS Relationship

Stamps.com took measures to reassure customers after its CEO had warned that its relationship with the US Postal Service was changing. In a blog post last week, Stamps.com’s Eric Nash published FAQs about how the news would impact shippers.

As we reported last month, Stamps.com CEO Ken McBride revealed during the company’s quarterly earnings call that he no longer sees an exclusive partnership with the USPS as the right strategy for Stamps.com, and he outlined a new strategic direction for the company, though the company will continue to partner with USPS.

On Thursday, Eric Nash said nothing was changing with regard to Stamps.com’s offerings as it would continue to operate as an officially licensed PC Postage vendor and said all USPS services would remain available for customers.

Among the FAQs he answered was the question, “How does Stamps.com’s relationship with the USPS impact me as a customer?” Nash wrote:

“For most customers, there will be no change to the Stamps.com product – the solution will continue to print USPS postage as it always has. In the future, you may see additional shipping carriers as an option to print shipping labels.”

You can read additional FAQs for Stamps.com customers on this post on the company blog.

  1. I have been using stamps dot com for quite awhile.

So far I have seen no difference since they broke off the exclusive partnership.
