Hi Ina,
Truly these are the End Times. Just filed an Unpaid Item Case with eBay. Until today, I NEVER had to pick a REASON.

Got a pop-up saying I need to pick a reason. The ONLY reason provided was that “Buyer has not paid”.

Words fail me.

Hi Ina,
Re: EKG report of new security popups when paying with PayPal

Maybe I’m stretching the thought, but what if it’s eBay putting in these popups for security to irritate those trying to pay with PayPal. I certainly did find it irritating, but not enough to pay with any other method.

Good afternoon, Ina:
Thank you for all your endeavors in efforts to keep us abreast of the foibles and follies on the more “popular” on-line auction sites.

Perhaps not for you, though it is strange for me – an auction ended October 7 – buyer paid same day – USPS shows delivery confirmation – mutual feedback exchanged.

Today I am the recipient of 4 separate e-mails from eBay, including the one being forwarded. (“Suspicious buyer for item – We had to cancel bids for the buyer, (redacted), because they aren’t registered on eBay.)

It is true the buyer is no longer a registered user – though he was during the entire course of the transaction with over 4900 feedback.

It appears to me eBay should be more concerned with the shill bidding than send 4 emails for a completed auction item with buyer and seller satisfaction.
