eBay Runs End of Quarter Sitewide Flash Sale

eBay Flash Sale

eBay Flash SaleUpdate 6/29/18: We happened to notice this evening that the sale has been extended to 11 pm PT.

eBay is running another sitewide flash sale that runs until 9 pm Pacific time today. Sellers are noting that it comes in the final days of the second-quarter, believing it’s an attempt to goose sales before eBay must face Wall Street analysts in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, a major glitch is causing sellers to lose their Fast N Free logo and possibly their Top Rated Seller Status – see today’s blog post.

Here are details of today’s Flash Sale – be sure to read carefully for restrictions that apply:

  1. I’m no financial guru…but…they’re LOSING 5% PROFIT on every sale today.
Do they think gross sales dazzles stockholders such that net profit becomes irrelevant?

  2. awright…missed the fine print….but…any profit on non-eligible items could easily be wiped out by the loss on the eligible ones.

  3. Speaking of the fine print…as is typical of ebay, what they give you in the splash: “15% Off EVERYTHING”
…they then take away in the fine print: “Min $25”
The real insanity is putting “everything” in ALL CAPS!!!

  4. Typical ebay come on. Tried using the perfect day 15 per cent discount. GUESS WHAT. WE ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM PLEASE TRY LATER. Off to Amazon where I know I won’t have a problem. I don’t have the time for Ebay problems. LATER EBAY.

  5. Sure hasn’t done a darn thing for me. I sale from a regular customer. I’m still throttled. Oh well, I continue to work on my Etsy account. 1 sale and ready to climb.

Three months ago, I was selling 7 – 10 items every Saturday. Today. 1 from a reliable source., If I’m not selling, I’m also not buying. Jeepers, eBay has no IQ as a whole.

  6. Many sellers didn’t even know there was a sale. Hahahaha. Good grief. From the feedback boards, it sounds like with the issues trying to get the coupon to work and most posting no sales at all, I guess it was a big fat waste of time.

The coupons at the end of March, I contacted some customers to let them know. According to some of the terrible gruesomes on the boards, they said I was stalking customers.. Hahahaha. Lord help me.
