Anyone who has a following can become an affiliate marketer to generate extra revenue, and usually it involves trackable URLs. eBay’s affiliate program, called EPN (eBay Partner Network), launched a new tool to make it easier for members to create affiliate URLs for listings they encounter on eBay.
Affiliate revenue obviously helps eBay by generating traffic and sales, but of course it also helps sellers when affiliates link to their listings. With the new bookmarklet tool, EPN members can quickly create an “affliatized” link from any eBay page. You can see it in action in a video published by eBay on the EPN blog.
Here’s how eBay explains it:
“To access the bookmarket tool, navigate to the Campaigns tab in the Publisher Portal. Then, simply drag the icon next to a campaign to your browser’s bookmarklet folder. The next time you’re on eBay and see a search results page, specific listing or any other landing page on eBay that would interest your visitors, just click this saved bookmarklet link to get the affiliatized link in URL, JavaScript or HTML format.”
The tool is in beta, learn more about it on the EPN blog.
