eBay fixed some problems with its Canadian migration tool that launched on May 13th. Sellers in Canada have 2 weeks to make sure their listings are in compliance with the new single-currency mandate that eBay announced in March.
Previously sellers in Canada could list in US or Canadian dollars, but the new policy mandates that all listings on eBay Canada must be listed in Canadian dollars. Note that Canadian sellers can continue listing on eBay.com in US dollars (USD).
eBay originally gave sellers until June 1st to comply, but on May 2nd, it announced it was extending support for USD listings on eBay.ca to June 13th.
The tool was supposed to make the job of editing listings easier, but sellers reported a host of problems with the tool. eBay Canada announced on Friday that the new version of the migration tool fixed some of those problems. Enhancements include:
- Resolving the issue some were experiencing with long load times
- The addition of a Refresh button
- The ability to reprocess listings that were already migrated (coming soon)
- New, sortable Statuses that include Sold and Unsold
eBay noted, “With the exception of the reprocessing feature, which will follow shortly, these enhancements are ready for you to use,” and urged sellers to try the improved tool right away.
