Shipping carriers are warning of delays due to winter storms that hit portions of the United States. USPS said on Monday it was in recovery phase following the major winter storm that brought ice and snow to the Southwest.
Post Offices in parts of Oklahoma and Texas have been impacted, and a list can be found on the USPS website.
FedEx also issued an alert on Monday and cited hazardous conditions in the Southwest and the Midwest, warning customers to expect some service delays and disruptions for inbound and outbound shipments in those locales.
FedEx also noted that potential service disruptions might not affect different services the same – for example, FedEx Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Freight, and FedEx Office. “This may result in different levels of impact as well as cities, states and ZIP Codes serviced,” it posted.
More information can be found on the FedEx website.
Online sellers concerned about the impact on their customers may wish to reset delivery expectations for customers in affected areas. eBay sellers can also look for news on its announcement board, though nothing was posted as of Monday evening.
Accuweather also notes the storms are travelling east and were set to impact the Northeast part of the country on Monday and today.
