Etsy is holding a sitewide sale that will kick off on November 20 and run through December 1st. The nearly 2-week promotion will feature a special landing page where Etsy will feature sale items, which must be discounted between 10 – 60 percent off.
As we wrote here, Etsy CEO Josh Silverman believes holiday shoppers believe they are overpaying if items aren’t on sale. What might prove compelling to sellers is the potential for enhanced visibility with Etsy promoting participating sale items.
Announcement follows:
Mark your calendar! On November 20, we’re kicking off the holiday shopping season with a sales event that will make buyers feel good about supporting small businesses like yours.
From November 20 to December 1 we’ll feature items on sale in a special landing page and promote the event to shoppers. To participate, use the Sales and Coupons tool in Shop Manager to discount your listings between 10% and 60% off during that time.
