Amazon Launches Local Affiliates Program for Businesses

Amazon Local Associates affiliate program

Amazon Local Associates affiliate programUpdate 8/25/17: Amazon clarified that Local Affiliates is not a program that Amazon Business launched, it’s a program from Amazon. We’ve edited the article accordingly, including the title.

Amazon launched a new affiliates program called Local Associates. It’s similar to its regular affiliate program but is tailored to businesses such as hair salons and dermatologists. In addition to earning affiliate revenue, members of the program get a customized page for their business on Amazon.

Amazon’s letter to customers announcing the program follows:

Greetings from Amazon,
Do customers ask you for product recommendations, even if you don’t carry them in your business? Amazon has launched the Local Associates Program, a new opportunity where businesses can recommend products to customers on Amazon and earn money from qualifying purchases. By joining the program, you are able to:

– Get a customized page for your business on Amazon to showcase product recommendations.

– Help customers find the right products, even when your business doesn’t carry them.

– Earn money when customers make a qualifying purchase.
