eBay is running a post-Christmas promotion to encourage sellers to list items in the fixed-price format. But only sellers who are invited through an email or message in My eBay may participate.
Invited sellers can list up to 60,000 fixed-price listings and pay no insertion fees – the promotion runs from December 26, 2013 through January 6, 2014. eBay is allowing 3, 5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing durations in the promotion, however, it appears sellers have to pay upgrade fees for the longer duration listings.
The promotion is activated with the seller’s qualifying eBay user ID and is not transferable. Sellers that have been invited will automatically receive the promotional rate when they list items in the fixed price format through the Sell Your Item form, eBay Seller Tools, eBay Mobile applications and most third-party tools. The promotion is in addition to the free insertion fee promotion for up to 50 auction-style or fixed price listings per calendar month or any other insertion fees that they receive as part of a Store subscription.
Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards are eligible. All existing selling limits as well as category and item limits apply and may exclude sellers from creating the maximum number of listings.
“Promotional Rate does not apply to listings with a start date prior to Thursday, December 26, 2013, including those listings revised during the Promotion Period,” according to eBay’s terms. “Listings created prior to Thursday, December 26, 2013, which are scheduled to start during the Promotion Period, will be eligible to receive the Promotional Rate.”
All other fees apply, see eBay website for details and restrictions.
