Dear Ina,
With much trepidation, but maybe also a glimmer of hope, I tried eBay Promoted Listings for the first time about 9 days ago. I signed up for the recommended percentage, or close to it, usually around 5%.
Sad results. Almost 59k impressions to get a couple of hundred clicks, NO sales.
Just an fyi
Regards,
Lightning
Dear Ina,
Beware eBay change to sales tax notification in listings.
eBay has made a change within listings that directs the buyer to a link “Taxes may be applicable at checkout” that shows the states eBay is collecting sales tax. I sell in California and the change no longer defines the sales tax I will collect (eBay does not collect tax for CA).
My buyers will see that CA sales tax will be collected at checkout. I expect some remorse refunds due to the reduced visibility of sales tax with negative impact due to PayPal keeping their fees.
C.S.
