It’s not easy catching buyers’ attention. When it comes to holiday shopping online, are people browsing or searching for their gifts?
A new Tophatter survey of over 1,000 US consumers found that nearly half (48.5%) prefer to find holiday gifts to buy while browsing. 10.8% give cash or gift cards, and the rest (about 40%) will search with an item in mind.
Another finding from the survey indicates you don’t have to worry if you sell smaller items as opposed to more expensive goods. The survey found that 49.3% of shoppers want to receive lots of smaller gifts. 28.3% want one big gift, and 22.4% would rather pick something themselves with gift cards or cash.
Another interesting tidbit: Only 20.1% of respondents are confident they will not go over budget this year.
