@cfrphoto…you make a very good point. Most of the listings for Cuban stamps or covers come from International sellers; very few from US sellers. I have a number of censored covers that I have to think carefully about listing them here; maybe in a group with other countries, but certainly not by themselves. The few that appear on eBay are pre-1960. Stamp auction houses sell Cuban-related material. Even the Scott Catalog has values for nearly all Cuban issued stamps. Logically, like the auctions houses & the publishers of Scott Catalogs have decided that an issue that has long lost its relevance doesn’t affect their decisions, ….but continues to handcuff sellers …at least on eBay.

I listed that exact same Chanel fake. It was removed and eBay messaged me why and not to do it again. If you were suspended you had other VERO violations within 12 months period

” eBay usually suspends your account for three days or more” – I can guarantee NOBODY has ever been suspended for a first time single offense. The item gets delisted and eBay messages seller why but no one has ever been suspended for one error. It’s gas lighting to use that phrase

If you are from Cuba, New York and want to sell some postal history from your hometown, you may be out of luck. Apparently, eBay continues to string match without context or applicable to the regulation being enforced. Sellers of US stamps overprinted Cuba for the 1898 to 1902 US Military occupation have grumbled for years when eBay has arbitrarily removed their listings which have nothing to do with the present government.

I’m thinking eBay doesn’t Vero sellers based on a database but leaves it to the Vero customer to tell them what to delete. Not sure, but based on my experience of what’s been Veroed at me: Louis Vuitton handbag which you must be an expert to tell a good one from counterfeit; a “power ball” wrist exerciser ( 2 common words), and the clincher: a US Polo Assn. shirt that I had already sold, shipped and delivered a month before. (I imagine a new employee trying to justify why a cheap brand like US Polo Assn. needed a Vero person for monitoring eBay).

I had a VERO battle last year…a fairly new company that sells Jewelry reported me for using ‘their’ name…’Lokai’…and ebay Immediately removed my listing and warned me about this ‘violation.’
Lokai, in My listing, was the name of a Character in Star Trek…in 1969!! So, what makes this little jewelry company think They have the Rights to that name!?
I fought with that company, and with the company that represented them, and ebay…and got Nowhere!
My work-around was to rename it Loki….until Marvel comes after me!
