eBay Canada Offers Postal Tracking on Lightweight Parcels

eBay is now offering Canadian sellers the “Canada Post Expedited Lite” service in all categories. The special domestic tracked service is good for packages weighing up to 200 grams (under half a pound), offering all the features of Expedited Parcel service at a much lower price.

“Shipping with a tracked service provides a better buyer experience and additional security for sellers,” eBay said in its announcement, noting that for lower-value lightweight items, tracked shipping can be cost-prohibitive.

Canada Post Expedited Lite was previously available only for items in select categories – specifically lightweight items in the Collectibles category, such as trading cards, paper money, coins, and comic books, according to the eBay when it launched the service in May. The service is now available for any items that meet the weight and dimensional criteria.

“Simply purchase and print your shipping through eBay to take advantage of this new service, while enjoying the convenience of the eBay Labels experience,” eBay said in Tuesday’s announcement.

“Your tracking number will be automatically uploaded to your order.”
