Amazon is keeping the spending going after the holidays with its third annual “Digital Day” shopping event, which it announced today will take place on Friday, December 28th.

Last-minute shoppers should note that today is the last day that Amazon customers in the US can get free shipping for orders that arrive in time for Christmas. (Update – Amazon extended the deadline to tomorrow, December 19th.) Prime members have until Saturday (December 22) to get Prime Free 2-day shipping before December 25th, and members in certain areas also qualify for free 1-day shipping and same-day delivery on eligible items.

Procrastinators can buy gift cards, of course, and Amazon now offers plenty of ways for recipients to spend them on digital goods in addition to physical products, including movies, TV shows, mobile games, apps, ebooks, Audible books, digital magazines, and software. Just look at the Amazon Digital Day announcement for proof.

“Save up to 80% off Marvel graphic novels, 75% off Kindle best-selling books, and 60% off digital magazines; save up to 35% off in-game items for Candy Crush Friends, Clash of Clans, and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius; plus Prime members can save up to 65% off movies like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Red Sparrow, and Sicario: Day of the Soldado on Prime Video.”

Starting today, customers can visit amazon.com/digitalday and sign up to receive notifications when the deals begin, or follow #DigitalDay for updates. Some deals will be available starting as early as December 26, with the biggest savings launching at 12:00 am PST time on December 28.

Update 12/18/2018: Amazon just extended the free shipping deadline for all customers to December 19th.
