Offering shoppers the ability to customize or personalize products can be a successful strategy for online merchants, but it isn’t always easy to handle such orders on online marketplaces. Bonanza has added a feature designed to make it easier for its Platinum Pro sellers to process personalized orders – and easier for shoppers as well.
Bonanza’s new Item Personalization features captures customers’ personalized messages automatically at the time of purchase. Previously sellers had to send an email to customers after receiving an order and wait for the buyer to respond.
The marketplace explained, “With Item Personalization, you can get the customer’s message right from the order and fulfill it immediately, without any additional customer contact. That’s a faster turnaround for you and for your customers. Not to mention, less time rummaging around your inbox.”
Examples of items commonly personalized are jewelry, business cards, greeting cards, trophies and T-shirts.
Sellers must turn on Item Personalization in their Booth Appearance page and then set up the feature in their listings to provide Bonanza with the following information:
- How many lines of custom text are allowed;
- How many characters (letters/numbers) are allowed in each line;
- Your custom label for each line (for example, “First name” or “Salutation”)
You can learn more about Bonanza’s new personalization feature on its help page, How To Set Up Item Personalization. Keep in mind the feature is only available to sellers with a Platinum Pro account, see the Bonanza pricing page for subscription plans.
