Newegg Offers Fulfillment Service for Third Party Sellers

Online retailer and marketplace Newegg launched a new fulfillment service for third-party merchants similar to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). Newegg Logistics promises to help online sellers with fulfillment, shipment, and returns. The press release follows:

Newegg, the leading tech-focused e-retailer in North America and a growing force in global ecommerce, launched Newegg Logistics, the company’s branded logistics solution to help e-commerce sellers and other organizations streamline order fulfillment, shipment and returns.

Newegg Logistics is the culmination of many years spent refining every facet of ecommerce logistics. The company now offers this comprehensive solution to help other businesses break into online sales.

“Newegg Logistics is the aggregation of logistical best practices honed since the company’s inception in 2001. We’re now putting our expertise to work for companies that want to outsource this challenging aspect of running an ecommerce organization,” said Kunal Thakkar, Newegg’s SVP of Global Operations. “This lets our clients focus on their core business, knowing the logistics have been handled.”

Newegg Logistics is comprised of four key components of the fulfillment process, including:

Forward Logistics – Newegg warehouses the sellers’ products, processes incoming orders and readies them for shipment.

Transportation Management – Sellers benefit from Newegg’s vast carrier network and enjoy discounted, pre-negotiated shipping rates to get orders in the hands of customers quickly, and at the lowest possible cost.

Value-added Services – Newegg supports a full suite of custom fulfillment options, including (but not limited to) insertion of promotional materials, pre-shipment assembly and secondary product inspection.

Reverse Logistics – Returns are streamlined, with Newegg managing return shipping, post-return inspection and resolution either by disposing the product, or returning it to a pool of open-box stock for resale.

Clients taking advantage of Newegg Logistics can rely on Newegg’s track record of prompt fulfillment – nearly all orders are processed within 24 hours of receipt. The company’s network of warehouse facilities located strategically across North America makes it possible to reach 92% of customers in the United States and Canada within two days.

Newegg Logistics offers fully customizable and scalable solutions, able to support companies of any size, from small niche sellers to large companies selling cross-border. And while Newegg Logistics will most commonly be used by companies selling direct to customers (B2C), the solution is also ideal for B2B applications, such as distributors shipping to a broad network of sellers – even companies that aren’t currently selling their products on Newegg. Clients large and small will have real-time access to critical information such as inventory levels and in-process order data.
