Amazon logoAmazon launched in Turkey and added a Global Storefront in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as it continues to expand internationally and grow cross-border trade.

Amazon.com.tr offers millions of products, with free delivery for orders above 50 TRY. The new Turkish site features a vast selection of products across 15 categories, such as Books, Consumer Electronics, Sports, Outdoor, Tools, Toys, Home Improvement, and Baby.

Sam Nicols, Country Manager for Amazon.com.tr, said the marketplace is committed to expanding selection and delivery options.

Amazon Turkey features over a thousand local businesses, and its announcement makes it clear it wants more by stating it offers businesses access to simple listing tools, 24/7 online seller support, open and transparent selling conditions and pricing, and reports and analytics to help them grow.

Alpagut Cilingir, Head of Amazon Seller Services for Amazon Turkey, said in the release, “E-commerce has the power to level the playing field between big and small businesses, empowering Turkish companies of any size to grow their business online. We are investing in helping sellers become successful – continually building tools that do the heavy lifting to help them to sell more.”

Amazon also announced its Middle Eastern company launched the Amazon Global Store in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which offers buyers there the ability to shop for over one million products from Amazon in the US. Amazon had acquired SOUQ.com last year for $580 million.
