Niche Auction Site Delcampe Celebrates One Million Members

Delcampe is celebrating its one-millionth member, and announced it is launching a new interface to its website later this year. The online auction site is based in Belgium, and employs 30 people.

Founder Sebastien Delcampe said the site attracts new members from all over the world each day. “Thousands of transactions take place for collectible items, including stamps, postcards, coins, old documents, books, and more,” he said. The site is available in six languages.

Founded in 2000, it’s celebrating its 15th birthday in October.

The auction site is inviting the one-millionth registered user to a trip to visit the company in Belgium and to its 15th anniversary celebration in the fall.

In 2011 when it celebrated another milestone – having over 100 million items placed on the website since it launched, it had over half a million active users. Visit the site at Delcampe.net.
