Descartes Buys ShipRush for Its Ecommerce Expertise

Logistics firm Descartes has acquired ShipRush, a leading provider of ecommerce multi-carrier parcel shipping solutions for small-to medium-sized businesses. ShipRush adds a large customer base of ecommerce SMBs and retailers and strengthens Descartes’ partner relationships with key SMB players, such as Intuit QuickBooks, according to the companies.

Descartes has acquired ShipRush, a leading provider of ecommerce multi-carrier parcel shipping solutions for small-to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

US-based ShipRush helps ecommerce SMBs and omni-channel retailers execute parcel shipments for last-mile delivery to customers. The ShipRush platform helps customers ship efficiently and cost-effectively by integrating with front-end commerce systems and parcel shipping providers for seamless package labelling, rating, tracking and postage processing.

Descartes’ strategy is focused on growing and operating the most complete and interoperable global Logistics Technology Platform. Descartes’ Logistics Technology Platform uniquely combines the Global Logistics Network (GLN), a wide range of modular and interoperable logistics applications and the largest community of logistics-intensive companies in the world. The acquisition advances Descartes’ strategic objective to strengthen its global presence and leadership position by:

  • Extending the reach of Descartes’ network – including integrations with key ecommerce platforms;
