eBay Runs Sale on FVFs for UK Sellers

eBay is running a special listing promotion for UK sellers in which it is also offering a discount on Final Value Fees (commission fees). However, the promotion is limited to private (casual) sellers.

Invited sellers can create up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk using auction or fixed-price format and pay no listing fees. In addition, if any of the items sell, eBay will provide a 30% discount on FVFs.

Sellers must actively opt in to the promotion in order to be eligible for the promotional rates.

eBay explains, “eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who have been invited to participate and have actively opted in to the promotion via the RSVP link shown in the marketing communication. Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable. Sellers must be registered as a resident in the UK.”

The promotion kicked off on February 28 and runs through February 29, 2016.

As always, read the fine print – in this case, eBay states, “An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts,” and, “if your item does not sell the first time and if you relist it after the promotional period or if it is automatically relisted, standard final value fees will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.”

All other fees apply, read the terms and conditions for details and restrictions.
