Amazon to Kick off Black Friday Shopping a Week Early

Amazon is working to bring holiday shopping forward by kicking off its Black Friday event a week early. With Thanksgiving falling on November 23rd this year, Black Friday falls on November 24th. But Amazon is hosting a week-long Black Friday event beginning November 17.

The day after Black Friday, Amazon will kick off another sale – a 3-day Cyber Monday event (November 25 through November 27th).

“New deals will drop as often as every five minutes during select periods throughout the deal events, so customers should come back often to find new deals to check off their holiday shopping lists,” Amazon announced. “To find the most up-to-date deals during the events, visit amazon.com/blackfriday and amazon.com/cybermonday.”

Amazon is also appealing to holiday shoppers who want to support small businesses, pointing them to amazon.com/smallbusinessdeals and reminding them they can also filter their searches with the Small Business Search filter, “while continuing to look out for the Small Business badge.”

Amazon also has a Small Business Gift Guide at amazon.com/smallbusinessgiftguide, which features curated selections including Under $50, Under $25, Toys and Games, and Fashion.

Amazon promised deep discounts across categories including electronics, toys, home, fashion, beauty from November 17 through November 27 – see the full press release on the AboutAmazon.com website.
