Mercari introduced a new rate for users of its marketplace app that makes it less expensive to ship lightweight goods via USPS. Anything between 8 – 12 oz used to cost $7.40 when printing shipping labels through Mercari. As of December 4, 2023, it costs $5.99.
Mercari’s shipping label program also offers USPS Media Mail, USPS First-Class Envelopes (for trading cards only), and FedEx and UPS options.
Mercari noted in its announcement that its prepaid labels are eligible for up to $200 of Shipping Protection with the option to generate a QR code that allows USPS to print labels for the seller.
