Mercari Tests Quick-List Tool, Runs $50 Referral Promotion

Mercari is inviting some sellers into its beta test of a new, faster listing tool – all sellers need is a photo and title along with a selling price in order to list an item for sale. The tool is available through its mobile app. Mercari is also running a special referral promotion that runs through next weekend to encourage sellers to get their friends and colleagues to sign up.

In an invitation email, Mercari told invitees to try its new quicker listing beta – “all you need is a pic, a price, a title… and that’s it – you’re done.”

Tap list, and add your pics: Choose existing photos from your device or take new pics of your item. You can drag & drop and crop images right from the Mercari app.

Then, add a title and price: No need to add more details unless you want to. Click List and that’s it. Your item’s listed and you’re good to go.

The new quick-list tool is available on the Mercari app for iOS and Android.

Mercari also kicked off a special referral promotion: “From September 22, 2023 through October 22, 2023, you can earn $50 in credit when five (5) of your friends sign up for Mercari using your referral link.”

The standard referral program perks still apply, more information about the promotion is available on the Mercari website. Mercari promotional credits expire 90 days from date of issuance – be sure to read all the fine print.
